Robin moved to Texas in 1975 after finishing a degree in Industrial Engineering at the University of Illinois. After stints with Texas Instruments as an engineer, a Real Estate brokerage as an owner, and Dell Computer as a contract computer progammer a new focus on a music career playing bass began.

The first gig in 1980 was playing country bass in the band Buddy and the Stardusters, yes, Robin was once a little starduster. The next gigs were with variety bands Texas Special, Second Time Around, Diamondback, The Bobby Rio Band, DejaWho, Legacy, and the Doctors of Rock in the 90's and then the band Haywire for 5 years.

As the stage manager for the East stage at the Austin Aquafest, Robin produced many shows by national and regional acts as well as playing bass for several of the Aquafest acts including Diamondback and Haywire.

Robin is a 17 year member of the Great Hills Country Club. Robin and his soulmate Alison have been together for 16 years enjoying living in Austin, Texas while spending summers in North Kingstown, Rhode Island.
